Sam Braganza wins director general’s baton

PANAJI: Goan officer-cadet Sam Joseph Braganza, 33, won the director general’s baton for standing first in the order of merit both in the senior and junior division.
The baton was handed over to him by Lt General Vinod Vashisht, AVSM, VSM, director general, the National Cadet Corps (NCC).
The NCC inducted 264 associated NCC officers (ANOs) at a passing-out parade held at NCC Officers’ Training Academy at Kamptee on March 4, marking the golden jubilee of the academy.
Braganza, a physical education director, Government College of Arts and Commerce, Pernem, said, “I had to go through a rigorous training programme of three months to empower them to conduct NCC training efficiently in their respective units”.
